“Introduction to Film Directing” –  What does a director do? What are the skills and personality traits required to be a director? Is it important for the director to be able to write? How does the director form a vision for the film, communicate it to her/his team, and control the tone of the film? What should one do to be able to direct her/his first film? We also cover some fundamental concepts of filmmaking. (Please note that we will not do any practical filmmaking in this lecture. You won’t switch on your camera in this lecture, for example.)
